I Love Thursday #89 Many Blessings
This is the 89th post of things we love for the week. We post these loves each Thursday along with LeeAnna on her blog at Not Afraid of Color. Several additional friends also share on a weekly basis – be sure to check them out. You will surely find something to inspire you.
Front door welcome! Although our Knock Out rose bushes seemed to have died off from the harsh winter, we still have a plethora of flowers to greet visitors. Asiatic lilies, begonias, and impatiens are near the front door.
Just outside the garage are some Gerber daisies and a winter science project from my birthday (mums). We’ll see if the mums bloom, and if they do, if they are a similar color from when I received them back in October. I always try something new as far as a winter project and keeping it alive to plant the next year. The picture on the right is what the mums looked like back in October.
String ensemble welcome! As the students entered the building during one of the last days of the school year, a student-and-teacher string ensemble welcomed them. They were just outside my office and I enjoyed each moment of listening to them. It is a fabulous way to start the day and to end the school year!
Spending time with my siblings! And favorite sister-in-law. We don’t often get together but when we do there is always laughs. Sue and I went to visit my sister, Carol, on a beautiful Friday. My brother and SIL drove up for the visit and my niece also joined us. We all had a nice chat followed by lunch. All of us think we need to do this more often.
The big joke is that Sue had to tell me three times to lower my chin for the picture, so we were all laughing for the picture on the right.
Flowering Crabtree. I took this photo one day as I returned home from work. It had been raining all day for multiple days and the sun was just trying to shine. The pretty red flowers really shine with the green Linden and gray clouds behind it.
Dominic and Addison had a rough week filled with their first colds. But first, Dominic had a new haircut from Grandma Janice. Everyone told him he looked handsome and he thought so too. Then we had a sickie chickie on our hands, and those dark circles under his eyes just break our hearts. By Saturday, Dominic was able to eat some waffle sticks and sausage for breakfast so we knew he was on the mend. Addi watched some cars go by, which were quite fascinating. Then she got to spend some time with momma, all by herself. We discovered she is following in her brother’s footsteps and is now fondly called Sock Girl. Addison got to go to her first Lighthouse Race that she enjoyed greatly. Finally, Uncle Billy was our favorite police officer working the race and who found time to pose with his Goddaughter. ~smile~ ♥ ♥ ♥
Boy, do I have some c.u.t.e. pictures lined up for next week already! Can’t wait to share them. ~smile~
