I Love Thursday #96 Many Blessings
This is the 96th post of things we love for the week. We post these loves each Thursday along with LeeAnna on her blog at Not Afraid of Color. Several additional friends also share on a weekly basis – be sure to check them out. You will surely find something to inspire you.
Corn in the fields! After the weather we had in the month of June, I had my doubts if we would ever enjoy any corn. It was nowhere near knee-high by the 4th of July. It rained nearly every day in June and it was cold. But the switch flipped in July and the corn has responded in kind. It makes my heart happy to see the nice, tall cornstalks.
Cousin love! Dominic and his cousin, Miki, had fun on the inflatable water slide at the sweet 16 birthday party we attended recently. The party was held near a local lake, and that boy was fixated on and fascinated by that huge
lake pool, in his eyes. Miki was kind and was able to divert him with the slide ride for a bit. It’s not often that you can talk a sweet 13-year-old into spending time with an almost-two toddler. Thank you, Miki, for being a good cousin. ♥ ♥ ♥
Sun-kissed tomatoes. I was going to take a picture, but I ate them. HAHA! I love having a garden with fresh tomatoes coming ripe. It’s rather slim pickings this year – I think we’ll only have a dozen of each kind. That’s rather disappointing but it makes enjoying the few we get all the more important.
Second pedicure of the season! Pretty toes just make you feel pretty don’t they? Even if you are the only one who gets to see them, you know how nice they look.
When it’s almost bath time and they stand together at the bathtub, this first picture just melts my heart to a puddle. O.M.G. She has to be right there doing whatever her brother is doing. For example, in the next photo, let’s play with the stuffed elephant together. Dominic was all set to go shopping one morning in his hat and Elmo slippers. And our favorite sweet boy is all sharked up at the pool in his shark towel with the hoodie. Finally, zoom zoom – now how does this Big Wheel work anyway?! ♥ ♥ ♥
