I Really Love Thursday #34
This is our 34th post of things we love for the week. We post these loves each Thursday along with LeeAnna on her blog at Not Afraid of Color. Several friends also share on a weekly basis – be sure to check them out. You will surely find inspiration. Be sure to come back tomorrow to see our post for the Wish Upon A Star blog hop!

1000 Likes! Holy cow! That is a LOT of likes. I feel like Sally Field receiving that Oscar (or Emmy??) and her speech – a way long time ago for you youngsters out there. She said something like, thank you – you really like me! Thank ya’ll for liking our posts. I appreciate it more than you’ll ever know. ~smile~

Storage and organization! Sue took herself shopping, and picked up this rolling cart. It is the second one we have in the sewing room, and I asked her if the other one was broken. No, she said, and pointed at the first one. She told me that I have so much crap sitting around, that we need another one. WELL! I’m not sure what she is referring to. Hmph. I do, however, love getting things organized almost as much as she does.

My favorite picture. When I shared a picture of my fabulously finished Postcard quilt, I noticed a few things. It was like I was seeing my bedroom for the first time. The picture on the wall above my bed is really too small, and it’s not centered. How did I miss seeing that before? Anyway, I am sure you couldn’t see the cross stitched piece:
It is one of my favorites of all time. We owned a cross stitch shop, so that truly is saying a lot. In my head, this is Sue and I having a great afternoon together. We’ve never actually painted but the activity itself doesn’t matter. This sums us up – a blondie and a brunette – salt and pepper – laughing and having fun.

Garden center ads. I’m sure you have been deluged with garden center ads like we have been. I find them VERY tempting – ooh, we could put that plant in here, and this plant over there and they will look beautiful. And all the great garden plants – we love tomatoes and peppers – talk about hands off gardening for the most part. The problem is that it is still too cold to plant anything yet. My father who was raised on a farm but was converted to a city boy by my mom (there is a fabulously cute story about how they met that I’ll have to share sometime) always told me that you had to wait until Memorial Day to plant in our area. Tomatoes don’t like to have cold feet/roots – it stunts their growth I guess, so I always try to stick to that adage. But it’s hard when the weather has been in the 80s . . . and then to the 40s . . . and back to the 80s. So I just limit myself to drooling over the might-be items for a few more days.

I know I share an adorable picture each week of Dominic. At this point, we all KNOW how adorable he is and it would be fairly hard to top some of the previously shared pictures. Well, this one does it at least in my book. There just cannot be anything more adorable. Today’s picture shows him helping Uncle John work. Look at the perfect form for typing! You can even see his fingers moving he’s working so hard. He’s also clearly displaying dedication and concentration. I think he was aware Mom was going to shut down the typing fairly quickly so he had to get in all the touching he could in those short seconds. Uncle John said he was really banging around for a bit. ~smile~
That’s it for this week! We hope your week is filled with many blessings. Happy Thursday!

Crap???? It’s just showing your free-flowing creative side! An artist has to be able to let her inner creative side come out. I like to be organized too but you just gotta let yourself go sometimes. 😊🤩
All of these are wonderful likes. And congrats on hitting 1000!
Congrats on those likes! You two are a winning duo and having the cutest nephew must count too.
I keep a number of those storage units in our main closet…they hold so much and help lots with organization. Cheap and cheerful and in this case also useful.
I cross stitch-in fact now with better lighting I will be getting out my piece from last year.
Oh, planting and thinking about planting is such fun.
I have a plethora of those carts in different sized I must be a huge mess. Dominick is so cute. I agree the plants, waiting until after Memorial Day, that is what my hubby used to say.
There is no link with Let’s Bee Social. Or it isn’t working. enjoy your posts. And the linky arty as well. Helen
I have 4 smaller carts with various sized drawers. And a double wide rolling cart with 3 big drawers. That’s just for fabric. We won’t go into the yarn storage!!!
I love that you have gotten all those likes, but it’s no surprise because your posts are always so fun and positive! Do you still do cross-stitch? That was my first crafty activity, but I haven’t done any in a long time and have been wanting to take it up again recently. I always enjoy your photos of Dominic, and that one is cute as can be!
I can hardly wait to have a place to plant a tomato and a pepper plant! I feel each new rolling cart will turn the tide and I’ll finally know where everything is. Ha. Bwaahahahaha
Hurray for 1,000 likes! More baby pics, please!
Yay on the 1000 likes! No surprise there for me. I enjoy reading these posts; you encourage me to think about what I love. Sue is continuing her cheeky behavior. I like that! Hahaha. As for the cross stitch picture, you two may not paint, per se, but you do create with fabric. So in the photo, you two are really working on quilts as I see it. I haven’t even bought plants yet; it’s so late it feels really strange. I may go get some today, if I can just convince my elves outdoors to do all the planting (not my thing).
Congratulations!
