November Ripples OMG Project Finished?
It is time to share the November OMG project on Patty’s Elm Street Quilts website. Thanks to Patty, we have been setting and completing an OMG or one monthly goal for the better part of two years. Way back on the first of November, it seemed like a very good idea to select making a quilt top from the Ripples blocks. After all, my beehive mates were to make them for October and send them to me. How could anything go wrong with that very easy goal? Fast forward to the end of the month, and all the blocks have still not been sent. Will this be our first unfinished OMG project?
No Flippin’ Ripples
While the design wall doesn’t look much different than it did in mid-October, we’re sewing together a quilt top. Period. This will end up being much smaller of a quilt than I had hoped, but that’s okay. Smaller doesn’t diminish the sparkle of this quilt one bit.
November OMG Ripples
The Thanksgiving turkey coma was stalled because sewing needed to commence STAT. Since I had put off sewing the blocks together during all of the twenty-eight previous days, it was time for the medal to hit the metal. Just fifteen seams in this 4 by 4 layout . . . how long could it take?
Ripples Quilt Top!
Well, it took just a mere 2.5 hours to get all 16 blocks into a quilt top. Naturally, two blocks arrived today (!!) now that it is together. HAHA! We’ll save them in case another straggler or two show up for one last row. Without further adieu, here is Ripples, the quilt top. It may or may not become one row longer at some point.
We will be linking this as a 4th quarter Finish-A-Long.
Our other Linky Parties can be found by clicking the link above or along the sidebar on our website for more quilting fun – check out what our friends are up to. Like/follow us on our Facebook page and you can share your photos of what you’re working on. We would love to see them!
