Here are a couple of my loves from recent memory. Lee Anna at Not Afraid of Color posts a celebration all of her ‘likes’ for the week on Thursday on her blog. Maybe you’d like to join us, and link up with Lee Anna? There is always room for more people sharing their likes. Check on some of her likes and those of our friends – they will make you ~smile~.

Thinking about how to design nautical pillow shams. A friend asked if we could make her a set of pillow shams? Umm, yes, but you need to be a tiny bit more specific. AND, I cannot even think about it until the commissioned quilt is complete. So, of course I’ve been thinking of nothing else . . . I wonder what colors she would like, how big, what pattern would look best. My suggestion was for her to draw what she envisions – that way we’re on the same page. Ooh, this will be fun! Here is what she is replacing:
They are shells, and not very nautical which is why she would like to replace them. I cut off the stunning photo she has hanging above her bed (I know – now you want to see it). Not that I’ve spent any time studying this photo or anything, but I think she has a queen size bed and I think they should be the envelope-type of shams so she can easily wash them if she wants. Or with a zipper . . .

I just finished The Fix by David Baldacci in his series about Amos Decker. It was SO good to the very end – one of those ‘where is it going’ and ‘how are they going to wrap this up’ book. Now I’m going to start the The Glass Castle by Jeanette Walls. It is not my usual mystery/lawyer genres but it is very good! Almost why-am-I-working-good as I just want to read! FYI – they are releasing, or have already, a movie based on this book. I also have Addicted to Scraps by Bonnie Hunter checked out from the library. We certainly have enough scraps to do something fun with them soon. Speaking of reading, here is someone sharing his predication skills when hearing a Franklin story by Sue (I just couldn’t resist):

The ideas that other bloggers share are just so darn inspiring! LeeAnna made the cutest pumpkin pin cushion (check out her link above – really easy she says!) that I need to make. And then the Easy Peasy Drawstring Bag tutorial was shared by two people sharing their version of the bag – again very easy, as the name suggests. I don’t even carry a purse – never have – but I feel like I NEED this bag. ~smile~

HA – I cannot miss a week of Mr. Two Months old now! Seriously . . . I know y’all are just reading to see the latest, cutest picture. He was visiting on Saturday and going to his first Halloween party, so we had to whip up a costume. Without further adieu, no words needed:
That’s all for this week. I hope you enjoy these posts – the loves aren’t all related to quilting so they are off-topic. And sometimes I feel like I’m sharing too much . . . but it is who we are. Truth. ~smile~

Roseanne, So many loves, so many ideas! I’m looking forward to seeing the finished pillow shams. Adorable Halloween costume and of course the little person sporting his new outfit. Just imagine what he will say when he sees the photo ten years from now. 😊
Hi Cindy,
I spend so much time thinking about him, the fun we will have. I haven’t received the pillow sham drawing yet but I look forward to seeing it and planning it. ~smile~ Roseanne
Enjoy him while you can. My oldest grandchild will be 13 soon. 😳
is he Fred or Barney? So cute! I have to check out your book rec’s
LeeAnna
Hi LeeAnna!
He is Barney’s son, Bambam. ~smile~ Roseanne
He is such a beauty of a baby! Really he is.
Our lives are not all stitching, Roseanne. It is interesting to see glimpses of what else goes on from time to time. I know I love it and I learn so much…a new recipe, a product, a video, etc.
Aww, Jocelyn! Aren’t you sweet. You make a great valid point – we are not just quilters or sewing all the time. And I gotta tell you – I drop everything when he comes over! Is Dominic here?? Lights off, with a little sing~song Hi cute boy announcement as I come trotting out. Thanks for saying that – it means a lot to me. ~smile~ Roseanne
Isn’t that alwaysvwhat happens – we shouldn’t be thinking about the next new project before the first one is finished, but then that’s all we can think about! Lol! Mr. Two Months Old looks like he is enjoying the book – such a great thing to expose him to already!
Hi Diann,
Thanks so much so your comments! He really loved the book! He was chatting about it and kicking and waving his arms. Adorbs! And planning projects – I have so many ideas in my head that I really will need to give up sleeping to get the finished. ~smile~ Roseanne
What a fun costume! lol
Hi Sally! Thanks so much – it was fun making a costume for him. ~smile~ Roseanne
Yep, you found me out. I was checking in to see if you had an updated picture of the little man. He is just too stinking cute in his costume and he really looks good on his quilt.
Aww, Peggy – thanks! I love him to pieces. ~smile~ Roseanne
It’s good to share! Love the baby pictures, such a cutie!
Hi Shannon,
Thanks so much! Of course I think he is pretty darn special and a cutie . . . but I MAY be just a wee bit biased. Possibly. ~smile~ Roseanne
