Road Trip – Keep Me in Stitches Quilt Shop – Appleton, Wisconsin
Keep Me In Stitches Quilt Shop is another shop that we stopped at on our Appleton road trip one Saturday at the end of September. Christine greeted us warmly as we entered the shop, and was available for any questions without being overbearing. The shop has a nice selection of patterns and fabrics. There are also plenty of intriguing models although some were missing for a local quilt show.
Christine greeted us as we came into the store with a friendly hello and smile. She offered us assistance if we needed any, and chatted about the nearby quilt show (that we weren’t aware of). We were intrigued by some cork fabric models at the cutting desk but unfortunately all of the stock had been taken to the show. I thought the quilt model behind Christine was beautiful as well!
The shop had a great selection of patterns, fabrics and models. I found the cutest pattern called “I Love Dirt” by Karen Bennett. It has a bunch of big equipment examples to move or dig in the dirt – tractor, dump truck, etc. That will make a fun quilt for a certain little boy when he gets a little bit older. ~smile~ A fellow blogger (Kathryn) is making the same quilt. Maybe she’ll let me show off her finished quilt . . . please, please! It is her October One Monthly Goal (OMG).

This little dachshund model just warmed my heart. My brother and sister-in-law have had a dachshund as long as I can remember, so I immediately thought of them. And I suspect they would get their dog glasses if he needed them. ~smile~ We will be happy to visit this shop again, and hopefully see Christine again. She made the whole trip a worthwhile and more fun experience. ~smile~

Hi Cindy,
I apologize for the late reply – this comment was in Spam for some reason. I just love that dachshund pattern. Every time I see him with his little glasses on, I smile. I think I just need to break down and buy and then make it. I love dogs! ~smile~ Roseanne
Looks like a really nice quilt shop! I may have to stray off the beaten path and check it out next summer! Thanks for taking me along on the tour through your very thoughtful words and photos! 🙂
