Road Trip – That Quilt Shop, Woodstock, IL
My sister has lived in Woodstock my entire life, or at least all the years I can remember. You would think that we would have visited That Quilt Shop in Woodstock, Illinois before December of 2017. Alas, we have not until just recently.
Look at how nicely the fabrics are arranged behind Sue, by color. I love that when fabric is displayed that way, as it sure makes it easier to find.
That Quilt Shop Owner
This shop is packed with lots of fabric, models, pattern and notions. It is in the basement of Therese’s home but it isn’t musty or damp like many lower levels. We had the pleasure of meeting her husband and dogs. Her husband directed us to the correct area for the shop, which somehow we managed to overlook! Therese told us that she had her shop in several different storefronts around Woodstock but finally decided to just bring it home. She was helping a customer layer her quilt, and they were having a good time chatting and laughing.
This will be a shop we visit again. We did pick up a pattern called Cupcake. We didn’t read it well because it requires a template called BasiX for 2.5″ strips. Once we pick that up, I’ll share how cute it is. I would recommend stopping in if you are in the neighborhood.
