Road Trip – Twin Turtle Quilts, Clinton, Wisconsin
On our self-made shop hop, Sue, Carol and I found our way to Twin Turtle Quilts in Clinton, Wisconsin. We had no issues finding this shop as it was really easy to find right off I-43. We found some really COOL stuff in this shop. ~smile~ Look how cute their quilted name looks in the window:
Twin Turtle has a variety of fabric offerings in their shop. Lots and lots of models were displayed in an inviting manner, with pattern and/or kit nearby. I love that – not having to ask or search the shop for what is displayed!
I spoke to the owner, Theresa, for a bit. She explained that she started designing patterns when her twins went off to school and opened the store to fill up her time. They offer a wide variety of pre-cut shapes which you can see over her shoulder in the fall colored quilt. All the leaves are pre-cut pieces by Twin Turtle! She has MANY patterns that she designed throughout the shop, all more enticing than the next.
We found a bicycle panel that I was very happy to find. My boss is a bicycle enthusiast, and I wanted to find something special with that theme. We purchased the panel along with some coordinating fabric (green) to make a journal cover. Here is an example of the journal cover:
Twin Turtle Notebook or Journal covers:
We also bought the flip-flop fabric – and I just noticed the CUTE elephant fabric now, at the bottom of the photo! You can color these journal covers with regular crayons! Isn’t that cool?!! We also found an adorable sheep/lamb fat quarter and a coordinating one that says Baaaaaa. I’m looking forward to making something with that and asking Baby J ‘what does the lamb say?’ Adorbs.
We picked up their Row by Row 2017 free pattern, which is a car pulling two trailers piled with fabric/quilts. Very apropos for our day. ~smile~ We cannot wait to visit again.
Our Linky Parties page shows our quilting friends’ websites – see what they’re up to. Like/follow us on our Facebook page and share your in-progress or finished projects! We would love to see them. Thank you!
I bet you all had a great time. Any road trip with friends is enjoyable, especially if quilt shops are included.
Hi Peggy! We had a blast. Lots of laugh, chitchat and general overall fun. ~smile~ Roseanne
Looks like a fun place to hang out, though it might be a tad dangerous to the bank account!
Hi Kate,
Too true, too true! Fortunately it isn’t THAT close . . . ~smile~ Roseanne

Hi Nancy! We had a really nice time. We feed off each other, gathering projects to work on . . . more than we can ever complete. ~smile~ Roseanne
