Second Entry for Blogger’s Quilt Festival – Clark
For our second entry for the Blogger’s Quilt Festival, I thought I would share Clark, the Cubs quilt. This queen size quilt was made for Sue’s nephew, William. We had it quilted by friends of ours at Corner to Corner. They were able to use a baseball-shaped quilting pattern. Here is a good shot of the backing showing off the baseball quilting:
William sent us a picture of Clark that he wanted us to replicate. We made a template with four separate layers that comprise Clark. Once we had him designed and in place on the center background, the borders came together quickly. We shared a few blog posts but not too many pictures as William was reading the blog and hoping for a sneak peak or two. HAHA – we were careful to not show anything.
Clark Found a Home
Here he is with his quilt. I believe he loves it but not as much as we love him. I even raised our hand to make him a wall hanging that includes the trophy for his man-cave basement. In case you hadn’t heard, the Cubs won the World Series last year . . .
So, this is our second entry. The first entry I wasn’t able to share on their website because the link back to Blogger’s Quilt Festival wasn’t able to be found in the first post. I expect the same issue in this post, but we’ll see.
