September Rainbow Ripples OMG Project
It’s time for our September OMG or one monthly goal project to be announced. We are very thankful that Patty at Elm Street Quilts hosts a linkup party each month. Her monthly linkup has inspired us to finish a different project each month for over the two years that we’ve joined in. That’s 24 projects that may or may not have been completed! I have to confess that Rainbow Ripples came very, very close to becoming a UFO and stashed away in a closet.
September OMG Rainbow Project
Just as I was getting discouraged and unhappy with the quilting patterns I had chosen and tried, Sue talked some sense into me. Mentioned yesterday in the to-do post, here are two quilting patterns I tried and then we picked out.
Sue reminded me that she wanted the wavy look with the ruler to begin with. I finally saw the light and acquiesced. The look on the sample practice sandwich turned out okay . . . so Rainbow Ripples here we come.
To summarize, our September OMG is to quilt and bind the Rainbow Ripples quilt top. It’s been a while since I used rulers! I’m hoping it’s like riding a bicycle and it all comes back to me
Our other Linky Parties can be found by clicking the link above or along the sidebar on our website for more quilting fun – check out what our friends are up to. Like/follow us on our Facebook page and you can share your photos of what you’re working on. We would love to see them!
