To-Do #52+29 Weekly Recap Update
To-Do for the week of October 22nd through 28th:
- Add the binding to LV Leaves – √ done
- Continue sewing leaves for Baby Girl’s quilt – √ done
- Make string blocks for hurricane relief drive – √ done
To-Do #1Our October OMG project is complete. I happily sewed on and tacked down the binding. I just love that portion of the project! It is warm and snuggly while finishing off the hand sewing. We shared the final results yesterday in a post but here is another look at it on the shore of Lake Michigan.
To-Do #2This is a leaves, leaves, leaves kind of week again. Forty-four of the tiny leaves have now been sewn to interfacing. Sue is in the process of turning them all right-side out and then appliqué will begin.
To-Do #3There is a string block drive ongoing for people who were devastated by Hurricane Michael. We have never actually made string blocks before, although we made some mittens years ago in a similar process. I forgot to take pictures of our blocks before mailing them out. I hope the collection does well and that they aren’t overwhelmed, because in my experience quilters are a generous group.
October OMGWe posted about our finished quilt just yesterday and in this Final October 2018 OMG linky party. Another successful monthly finish thanks to Patty at Elm Street Quilts. Now we have a day or two to select our November goal. We still have one more UFO along with a few newly started quilts to finish to earn our PHD from Quilting Gail.
To-Do October 29th through November 4th:Eek! November already – OMG time is flying by!
- Layer Up From Here
- Continue working on Baby Girl’s quilt
- Sew Fireburst together (and maybe layer it?)
