What a cutie! Holding over sewing any day. Holding will go away some time, sewing will always be there! and a FPP tip? sometimes I cut out each shape and retrace it with a 1/4′ seam to be able to get the right size piece in the right direction…sometimes.

Sweet baby, and holding a baby always beats out sewing! I’ll be on grandchild care this weekend with my hubby. And sewing seems to come in spurts anyway. Enjoy those littles while they are young!

  3. I’m dying to hold a baby lately. I need more babies in my life (tangentially–not all the time)! Also, I can totally sympathize with number two on your to-do list. Sometimes a break is just what we need. Thanks for linking up to What I Made Monday!

  4. Christine says:

Holding the baby vs. Sewing = no contest! She is absolutely adorable. I really love those fabrics you picked for the block. Bold, and they work so beautifully together!

  5. Rochelle Summers says:

Really? 100 weeks of posting goals? Fantastic!! Lovely little girl…why do they sleep with their arms stretched out? Love the colors in your paper pieced block. Have a great week.

  6. What could be more important than holding that little one? All the quilting in the world will wait!
    Happy Quilting! 🙂

  7. Connie says:

Love the block colors! But little sleeping beauty, well, nothing can beat the sweetness of a baby in slumberland…sigh…

  8. I also love that we have five weekends this month. Your blocks look great! Can’t wait to see them in person. Take care, Mary.

Hello Roseanne, Babies sleeping are so precious and beautiful! How wonderful that you got to be the one holding her and being her special Auntie while she needed you close. I had not noticed that we get an extra weekend, that is great! Extra sewing time is always a plus in everyone’s thoughts or I would think so, at least. LOL. Have a great time working on any of your quilting projects all week long! Just have a great time doing it! Sending loads of smiles and hugs!!

  10. Adorable baby!!! Five weekends sounds hopefully–we all might make headway on our projects and the snow might finally melt.

  11. Such a sweet pic of the little napping beauty! Love those blocks with all that bright color!
