Last Saturday, our giveaway for two sets of International Sister blocks closed, and two winners were drawn. After notifying each winner and receiving a confirming response with their address, the winners are:
- ***Jan at Cocoa Quilts, who requested her set be sent to Kathleen at Kathleen McMusing who is putting some quilts together for charity ~smile~
- Michele at 3 Poodles and a Nana and who “never” wins anything ~smile~
You will see our Sisterhood quilt top and the blocks that will be making their way to Jan Kathleen and Michele by clicking the link.
To-Do #1
Last week I shared two potential choices for quilting the Alaska Postcard table runner. I really like the idea of the ruler work surrounding each postcard. It wasn’t a design that was friendly to continuous quilting so in the end I just crosshatched it. I wish you could reach into the computer and FEEL all the quilt squishy goodness. It is fabulous!

To-Do #2
Melva has an ongoing sew-along called Pieces From the Past. Her most recent block release is called Maple Leaf. If you’re not familiar with the sew-along, Melva has received special permission to share the Kansas City sampler blocks including the original templates published in the newspaper. Along with most block releases she also shares a letter sent to her grandparents after the end of WWII. The history shared from those letters is just priceless and sometimes heartbreaking. Here’s our version of the Maple Leaf.

To-Do #3
Now that the end of November is quickly approaching, Sue is on the path to get our ten items complete for the fourth quarter. One of those projects is this baby quilt using light blue batiks. One pitiful row was on the design wall for the week, but with five days off in a row, many more joined it. A quilt top should go together rather quickly and will be next week’s goal.

November OMG:
This month we shot for a two-fer and we scored a big completion. Two table runners were completely quilted and finished. That includes finding a backing, layering, and quilting the last snowman runner for Nicole and the Alaska Postcard runner. We did link up with Patty at Elm Street Quilts.
To-Do December 1st through 7th:
- Decide on the December OMG
- Sew the rows of the light blue blocks into a quilt top
- Hopefully, receive the fabrics for Pinwheel Patches – a 4th quarter deadline quilt

- Here is the linkup and just a few easy rules to follow:
- Share your post or Instagram photo in the linky tool
- Don’t share a link to your own linky party or giveaway or promotion for your newest pattern release
- Please point your readers back here with a text link or use the button from the right sidebar

I think you made a great choice for quilting the table runner. It looks wonderful! I look forward to watching your progress on the maple leaf quilt. I have one hanging on my family room wall.
Well done on Alaska Postcard–good choice! Ha ha, I was trying to make sure it wasn’t Tuesday, too! I just happened to be working on my post. Whew!
Yes you made me think too on what day it was yesterday!!! But ya got me thinking about what to write and what I really did accomplish this week. It just goes by in such a blur!!! I love how the nine patches pop out in your blue quilt.
There is so much going on but I was pretty sure it was still Monday…phew! Two blog hops in the next 7 days for me and posting my OMG which is done is on my list! Glad you are making great progress on your weeks and hope the same is true for this week. Love that I am getting some of your blocks for the 2017 Sistas charity quilt!
Love the blue baby quilt!!! One little and their mom will love it! The Alaskan table runner looks great!
Happy Quilting! 🙂
Tuesday?! Okay, I see it’s the end of the month…whew! Congratulations on accomplishing all your goals. The table runner looks wonderful. I’m sure you are happy to be able to use it and remember the wonderful trips to Alaska. The maple leaf block, another favorite of mine, is beautiful. That blue quilt will be lovely for some little child. And congratulations to the winners of those lovely ladies. More beautiful quilts will be made and shared in the future.
Oh gosh – you had me worried there for a moment! You’re a day early, but a good reminder that I need to write a post later today! I like that blue nine-patch, by the way!
