Well, after a rough day at work and a rougher drive home, the Grandma’s Kitchen block #9 was a dream to put together. Thank you quilting Gods and Sue! ~smile~ This block is called the Kitchen Window:
#2
I started quilting the cute panel Love You to the Moon and Back for Baby J. His/her grandma that we are making it for loves yellow and I think loves this little quilt. I have to smile as I am outlining the stars and moon. I took Ellen’s advice and used a light thread – a pale yellow by Aurifil. I’m still not sure what to do after I get everything outlined but I’ll cross that bridge . . . when I come to it. Later.
#3
I started quilting the Confetti quilt using a grid, straight-line pattern. I really couldn’t go any other way with it since it is so lineal. I used red thread – the yellow was too pale, the turquoise wasn’t it the fabric, and the green didn’t match. So, red was the winner!
#4
Well, I shared the table topper with you last week. It was easy and fun to quilt, and it looks nice on her table en pointe. Now her table runner is also complete:
#5
While we are awaiting the birth of a little prince or princess, we decided to start a princess quilt. We are going to try something new with this quilt. We are going to embroider and quilt this baby quilt. I got the first row sewn together . . . ~smile~

Hi girls! You are zipping right along on your projects Great Job! I love the table runner. I think it would be very cute to embroider some kind of kitchen related motifs in the kitchen window block. Looks kind of bare, and is just begging for something in those windows.
I’m gonna guess girl.
Hi Ellen! I totally agree about those windows. The block went together so quickly, it was a relief! We’ll see how all these blocks go together and will add a little something then. A girl, huh?! You might just be correct, and I’m totally ready to spoil her if you are. ~smile~ Roseanne
i hope you won’t be on baby watch for long. You’ve gotten a lot done and you’re working with a sore tooth? Best of luck with that.
Hi Ramon! Aww, thanks so much. Can’t wait to go to the dentist on Friday . . . and I sure am hoping the baby is here before then!! Thank you for visiting and commenting . . . what’s your guess? ~smile~ Roseanne
You achieved a lot, wasn’t the kitchen window fun to do, I was surprised at how easy it went together. Your quilting is looking great.
Hi Kathryn! I agree, the kitchen window block went together really easily. I was surprised also but it was a blessing after the day I had last Wednesday. ~smile~ Roseanne
A lot of progress on your list! Love that table-runner. The quilting really sets it off nicely! I enjoy seeing your Grandma’s Kitchen blocks too. That is going to be such a lovely quilt top when it’s all done! As far as the baby…. I guess a boy. There’s only a 50% chance that I’m right…or wrong! 😉
Hi Christine! I am loving the GK blocks – can’t wait to see how it goes together. My guess has always been a boy too. I guess we’ll see sooner than later. ~smile~ Roseanne
