Tutorial Ship Shape Quilt in Different Sizes
Ship Shapely Sizes
The tutorial shares several different sizes from lap to king. One of my favorite parts of this quilt are the fabric choices as I’m really drawn to the royal blue background. Having recently cruised, I can just picture this color of water in the Atlantic between New York and Canada. You could be quite creative with your fabric choices for the sails, and this has the potential to be a real stash buster. I love that this pattern has two different sizes of boats and sails.
Ship Fabric Details
This pattern is very fat quarter friendly for both the lap and twin size quilt. Yardage is needed for the background and of course the backing. Cutting instructions are fairly detailed for each separate size. A different colorway may easily be utilized, and I could totally see this in teals like the color of water in the Caribbean. The tutorial also shares good instructions for the different size layouts. I don’t know if we’ll make this quilt anytime soon, but you just never know. Have I tempted you into adding it to your make-soon list?
