  1. Hi Roseanne, I’m definitely late to comment on this post. I think you chose the best layout. I really like this modern pattern. Take care, Mary.

Any place that frames pictures may have plexiglas, since it’s used more often than one would imagine in framing these days. JoAnn’s used to carry it, too. And building supply stores of all kinds. I like what you are doing, but I’m still sticking with the green frame version when I get mine made – though it won’t be green. =)

  3. I missed the last post! We have been on vacation and I haven’t spent much time on the internet. But I love these colors and like you, I do like the green. Well, I can’t wait to see the finish project. Love the soft colors!

  4. From the green frame (that I liked as compared to and seen against the brown cross)…the ‘winner’ is stunning! Contemporary feel without the usual accompanying piecing complications!

I liked the green frame too, but what can you do, a vote is a vote! LOL I have never heard of the plexiglass idea, must look into that.

  6. What Shannon said! I kind of liked that green frame layout too…so cool that there are options in this pattern.

Looking good! Can’t wait to see the quilting on it. You are doing very good.

I got mine at Lowes. I put tape around the edges like Vicki suggests to keep me from going off the edge.

  9. It’s great to explore different layout options, even f you end up back where you started. 🙂 Yay to the decision making being done – that’s the hard part!

  10. I love this layout. Start with the stipple to get a feel for the quilt and then make a practice piece, maybe a little smaller with the area “drawn on” so you can practice. If you haven’t already pressed it, I sometimes press to the sides on the last one. Give yourself permission!

  11. Will look forward to seeing the quilting on this one! Congrats on getting the top done!

  12. Menards or Home Depot should have plexi. Just be sure to put blue tape on the edges, so you never run off onto the quilt with your marker.
