  1. Hi Roseanne, good luck with all of those projects! It’s great that you’re making a quilt for your own bed – we seem to make them for everyone but ourselves 🙂 I like your block but I personally get bored easily so I have to either make different blocks, or use many different fabrics for the same block if I expect to finish it!

Hi Andrée! This will be the first quilt I have made for myself. I just find that so appealing, but I can understand the being bored issue. I am thinking I need to make up my own sampler of sorts, if I can find blocks all the same size that I like. It will be a project, that’s for sure! Thank you so much for your visit and comment – I appreciate it so much. ~smile~ Roseanne

  2. Looking forward to seeing what you do with the panels. They are so cute.

  3. You do have a lot of fabric plans!! I have the same Paris couple with umbrella panel. But please tell, what line is the Paris text fabric from. I know a poodle quilt that needs to have this for the back.

Hi Karen! You know, I think of you immediately when I see that fabric. I will check the line/name tonight and send it to you. ~smile~ Roseanne

Karen – the fabric is by Windham Fabrics called Destination Paris. I got it from MSQC and . . . they still have it!! Run and get it right away. It is SO you. ~smile~ Roseanne

  4. Making plans.. either with stash or trips.. is essential to a cheerful life.. so you seem really cheerful.. and good to know. Gender-specific quilts are not on my list.. bright colors and balloons and creatures also work for baby quilts. Always interesting to hear about stash and sewing rooms… (corners?)…..and cleaning / oiling the sewing machines.. or maybe newer machines do not need that. My Singer is so old it is metal.. … me, too.

Hi Maxine! Well, aren’t you sweet?!! I am a generally cheerful person – I am blessed with great family and friends and a strong faith. I agree about the bright colors for babies . . . and didn’t know I had so much gender-specific selections until we went through the stash. I think all machines need cleaning and oiling. I’ve been cleaning my machine much more often now. I have a Kenmore from the 70s that is still going strong that I bought when I was in high school (I’m old!). ~smile~ Roseanne
