Gosh these quilts look great, I’m sorry I’ve only just stumbled upon this! Thanks for the link to the pattern too – I have a jelly roll that would be perfect for this!

      Hi Raewyn,
It’s not too late to join in! Just let me know if you would like me to add you to the list of participants and I will. My quilt top is just together but not quilted yet. ~smile~ Roseanne

I’m slowly making progress on my Regatta quilt. Now that I have finished the quilting on my Milky Way quilt I will have more time to devote to this! I’m excited to added the last couple sections! I also like seeing everyone quilts. There is much diversity! They are all so beautiful!

      Dawn,
I think our quilt tops will look quite a bit alike when they are complete. I am also working on the last section. It would be so nice to be finished with it by next week. Maybe. ~smile~ Roseanne

  3. Roseanne, Loved seeing all the contributions to your QAL. So many wonderful color selections. How neat would it be to have them displayed together. Mine is ready for quilting but I have to wait until my longarm quilt machine is repaired. Thanks for sharing the updates. 🙂

      Cindy,
I didn’t know you were still having issues with your long-arm! That has been ongoing since December? Lots of Regatta goodness out there! ~smile~ Roseanne

      • Roseanne, There is so much talent out there. Yes I am! Extremely frustrating! I don’t share it a lot because I don’t want to sound like a constant complainer. 🙂

I finally found a cool jelly roll to use! Now I need to get some white to go with it… 🙂 xx

    • Roseanne says:

      Hi Joy,
I’ll add you back in, if you’d like! As you can see, some used a different color other than white. ~smile~ Roseanne

I really am drawn to this quilt…and not a jelly roll in sight (they are all at home in WA whilst I am in NV)! I was trying to figure out how to do the placement of the white square. Since I am waste-adverse, I will do some intense measurements into creating the strip sets. On the other hand, those cut off pieces would be cool put into the backing of Regatta!! I just need to buy the jelly roll I have fallen in love with!

    • Roseanne says:

      Good Morning,
We determined the size of each strip on each side of the 2″ white square and then cut them to those sizes. I hope you do find a jelly roll you love for this! We used Kona solids in yardage for the 19 different colors. ~smile~ Roseanne

Chug a chug a choo choo! Keep chugging away you’re getting close to finishing that top! Enjoyed seeing everyone’s quilts.

    • Roseanne says:

      Hi Shannon,
You have motivated me to get this quilt top finished. I was planning on quilting with ~~~ waves until I saw what you did. Since this is for my sister, I think I could try some new quilting stuff without any recourse. Hmm. ~smile~ Roseanne

There’s a whole lot of sailing going on with everyone’s quilts. So fun to see them all together.

  8. This is such a beautiful quilt. And who doesn’t have a jelly roll or two rolling around! I definitely want to make it. Love seeing everyone’s versions here. I have a question, what is everyone doing with the parts you cut off?

    • Roseanne says:

      Hi Nancy,
Jayne actually talks about the leftovers on her blog. I believe she is making another quilt from them. Shannon, Cindy and Vicki and maybe a few other others carefully measured before starting so they didn’t have a lot of waste. I think we are also making another quilt from our scraps. I love all the different varieties. ~smile~ Roseanne
