So well organized! Get yourself some of those square storage boxes to keep them in. They work great to keep everything together.

I am so not good at labeling things. Even though I have a gazillion sticky note pads floating around the sewing room! But then, maybe I just like buying sticky note pads?

Hello Roseanne, Labeling is one of those nifty tips someone gave me long ago and I do all of the time now. Chain piecing is another fun technique that you described perfectly. Although, I still just go chug a chug, chugging along. LOL. With all of those brilliant colors this quilt is going to be so fun! I look forward to seeing it as it develops. I was reading about all of the freezing temperatures that everyone is facing, I hope that you ladies were fortunate enough not to have to go out and that the remainder of your family are also staying inside safe and warm. I will never forget those freezing wind chill factors of 20 to 4o below living in North Dakota for 4 years and Wyoming for 16. Take care and have a great day creating quilts!

I need to go back to your previous posts to see what this QAL is all about! I totally agree with you on chain piecing! It’s so much fun to put the pedal to the metal!

Roseanne and Sue — I hope you are staying warm in the brutal weather! I tend to not follow the “finer” instructions. I bet I would have just chain-pieced everything, then regretted it while I tried to sort everthing out . Looking forward to the final reveal.

  9. Good morning Roseanne…I label everything also – can’t wait to see the hidden stars- I really love the fabric you and Sue are using! We’re going on a road trip to look at new machines today 🙂

  10. I’ve learned the necessity of labeling the hard way. No surprise, huh? I think you’re going to like how your quilt turns out!

  11. Tish says:

Yay for being organized! I’m by nature a short cut gal like you and have to force myself to label things. Nothing is more frustrating than walking away from a project, coming back to it and having no idea what is going on. Let me say I love the fabrics you guys are using! This will be fun to watch come together.

  12. I will definitely be following along as I want to see if I can find those hidden stars! Love the fabric you’re using. Stay warm and have a great day, Mary.

  13. I guess i forgot to mention once you have your corners sew, the labels for those pieces don’t “really” matter anymore. 😂

I’m so glad you are sewing along!
